Associate Artistic Director of Jumblies Theatre, multi-disciplinary artist and performer from Kahnawake Mohawk Territory. Ange is an ardent collaborator, arts advocate and amateur historian available for speaking engagements and hands on workshops. She specializes in and facilitates interdisciplinary creation, arts based research, oral history, outdoor performance, community art design, wearable sculpture and project planning. Ange is also a Juno and Polaris nominated vocalist with YAMANTAKA//SONIC TITAN. Recent projects include: ReCollection Kahnawake (Lead artist), Talking Treaties Spectacle (Direction and design), Material Witness by Spider woman Theatre (Performer), On Tuesdays: Musical Neighbourhood Tour with Jumblies Theatre (librettist), Something has changed, at least for one of us for Musagetes Sense Lab, All You Can Hold with LAL (Direction and design), After the Fire: Based on Interviews about Idle No More (Direction and performance), Our Last Best Hope with Clay and Paper Theatre (Script and costumes), YT//ST’s Opera 33 (Direction and performance), Smithsonian’s NMAI Artist Leadership Program funded K-Town Underground (Direction), Cult of Kateri: Armour and Accessories (Solo wearable sculpture line), HIDE (Movement and art direction), Albums YT//ST, UZU and Severed original soundtrack for Drinkbox Studio (Vocals and percussion).
