an afternoon of knowledge-sharing, music and art:
– Historical Introduction by Zach Smith (First Story)
– Guest speakers Brian Charles (Georgina Lake First Nation), Stace Laforme (Mississaugas of the New Credit), Keith Jamieson (Six Nations)
– Audio Gallery by Ange Loft and Jumblies team of artists
– Songs by Rosary Spence and the Young Creek Singers
– Performance of “Underneath, a City Place Cantata”, composed by Martin van de Ven, with original songs by Rosary Spence, featuring Vania Chan, Brian Katz, Arie van de Ven, Shifra Cooper, Victoria Peter, members of the Ground Floor and Making Room Community Choirs and others)
– snacks, conversations, displays, creative activities and more!
