  • Continuation of The Community Arts Guild, our East Scarborough project - further explorations and adaptations of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale mixed with local stories, leading to several community celebrations, food-art collaborations, and public events in the winter, spring and summer, heading towards a full production in December 2011;

  • at Arts4All – further development of a radio play at Pelham Park and Davenport Perth Neighbourhood Centre;

  • at MABELLarts – more park transformation, sewing, food and oral history activities. Go to http://mabellearts.ca for more info.

  • In Oct.: a presentation on our music-based works at the Lyric Theatre conference, hosted by Brock University and the Shaw Festival;

  • In Nov: a Pure Research project with Nightswimming Theatre, investigating the experience, pros, cons and artistic considerations of telling and presenting our “worst stories”;

  • In Feb: a professional development day focusing on composers engaging with communities, including presentations, discussions, workshops and, of course, music – part of a seasonal series of special topic days with members of Raucous Caucus (Clay & Paper, Puppetmongers, Shadowland and Jumblies Theatres).

  • developing and recording of music from Once A Shoreline & Bridge of One Hair (with composers Wende Bartley and Alice Ping Yee Ho);

  • Workshops and seminars with guest presenters, tentatively including so far: Lee Maracle (in partnership with Community Arts Ontario), and, from Halifax, Tessa Mandel;

  • Adaptations of Arts For All Essentials in Vancouver (in partnership with Vancouver Moving Theatre and
    the Oppenheimer Centre) and Nipissing Reserve (in partnership with the Aanmitaagzi Collective);

  • Issue 2 of Out Of Place, with essays by Leah Houston, Lisa Marie DiLiberto and others;
