Funding News
Many thanks to:
- the Ontario Trillium Foundation for granting Jumblies a generous 3 years of funding towards our new Scarborough residency;
- the New Horizons for Seniors Program,
Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, for supporting our work with seniors in Scarborough;
- the Social Development Partnership Programs, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada for 3-year funding to work with Scarborough families;
- the Youth Theatre Training Program of Theatre Ontario, funded by the Ontario Arts Council, which funded weekly workshops this spring for youth living in Family Residence in East Scarborough;
- the Toronto Community Foundation’s Vital Kids Program, which will allow these youth arts activities to resume in September 2009;
- the Toronto Arts Council, the Toronto Arts Foundation and the Luminato Festival, for an INCUBATE grant, enabling us to re-configure two music-driven works: Once A Shoreline (composer: Wende Bartley) and Bridge of One Hair (composer: Alice Ping Yee Ho). www.torontoartscouncil.org/media/INCUBATE-resultsfeb09.htm;
- the Goerge Cedric Metcalf Foundation’s Performing Arts Internship Program, for supporting Dan Watson’s internship in 2009 and Beth Helmers internship for 2010 (Jumblies 6th Metcalf Intern);
- the Canada Council for the Arts, Interarts Program, for a generous project grant for 2009/10;
- the Catherine Donnelly Foundation, Toronto Community Housing, the Ontario Arts Council Integrated Arts Program & the Toronto Arts Council Community Arts Program for funding several MABELLEarts 2009/10; and
- last, but not least, our faithful core funders: the Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council, Community Arts Programs, both of who have recently granted Jumblies multi-year funding with generous increases.
