Projects and Activities, Jan. to June 2009
- Jumblies is moving into a new residency project in Scarborough’s Kingston Galloway, with a home base at Cedar Ridge Creative Centre. There will be a work-in-progress gallery installation at Cedar Ridge from May 17 to 31.
- The Naivelt Project, Oy di velt vet vern yinger, Oh the world will get younger will be presented in a new form at the 2009 Mayworks Festival.
- The Jumblies Studio continues to offer learning and mentorship activities integrated into all of our projects.
- MABELLEarts – under artistic direction of Leah Houston, is running a Monday afternoon sewing workshop for Somali women and other interested participants; Wed. seniors’ workshops, including movement and memory activities; and an outdoor ceramic path and park transformation project.
- Arts4All at DPNC – under artistic direction of Lisa Marie DiLiberto, in collaboration with lead artists Liz Rucker and Eric Schwindt, runs a regular Monday theatre workshop for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities; is developing a new arts outreach project at Pelham Park (Toronto Community Housing); and will be presenting a new theatre work at the end of June 2009.
