Staff Update

  • This year Jumblies said goodbyes to General Manager Abby Callard and Development Director/Consultant Valerie Bernard, both of who have moved on to new locations and pursuits. Both Abby and Valerie continue to work in their respective fields of arts and production management and fundraising/development. If you are interested in either of their services, we will be happy to offer warm recommendations and to pass your messages on.

  • Long-time and much-loved Jumblies associate artist, Noah Kenneally, also moved on from Jumblies, going back to school to pursue a vocation as a primary school teacher.

  • Artistic Director, Ruth Howard, has joined the Toronto Arts Council’s board of directors and is also taking on the role of Chair of their Community Arts committee.

  • This December, Sean Frey completes his year-long Metcalf Foundation internship with Jumblies. Sean has just returned from a week in Labrador, developing a new community-engaged theatre project with Varrick Grimes and Liz Rucker, both long-time Jumblies associate artists. Sean will continue to work with Jumblies in 2009, as well as pursuing his own artistic interests and projects.
