Like An Old Tale – Coming Up

As we move into September, Jumblies will be launching into an intensive production period for our upcoming presenatation of Like An Old Tale – an adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, inspired and informed by 3 years of community arts residency in East Scarborough, and including communities and participants from across Toronto and even farther afield.

Hundreds of people from multiple, diverse communities  and dozens of artists from different forms, traditions and disciplines will make up the cast and crew.

Production and Creative team includes: Composer, Juliet Palmer; Artistic Director, Ruth Howard; Choreographer, Penny Couchie; Director, Varrick Grimes; Musical Directors, Erna Van Daele, Susan Suchard, Assistant Director, Beth Helmers; Consulting Director, Sue Miner; Design Team, Trevor Schwellnus, Sean Frey, Laura Hale, Helah Cooper, Ron Remigio; Performers, Musicians and Dancers, Doug MacNaughton, Neema Bickersteth, Lisa Marie DiLiberto, Sid Bobb, Lilia Leon, Keith McNair, Martin van de Ven, Adam Scime; Production Manager, Caroline Hollway; Stage Manager, Hillari Blumfald; Production and Musical Team: Julia Churchill, Shifra Cooper, Marianne Alas, Catherine Fleitas; Associate Artists, Liz Rucker, Dan Watson, Leah Houston, Michael Burtt and many many others.

Performance Dates: Dec. 8th to 18th

Performance Venue: Commercial Studios,  Pharmacy and Eglinton

Subtext Festival, Aug. 27 & 28

Jumblies is taking part in the Second Annual Subtext Festival, under the Lawrence East Bridge (between Orton Park and Galloway Roads), as a partner in the Bridging Project.
