Ongoing MABELLEarts Projects

The Women’s Sewing Room: Each week, women come together to sip and stitch, teach and learn, and make fabric art for gift and sale, all the while sharing cultural traditions through textiles, food and drink.

The Memory Project: The past and present meet in artbooks, soundscapes and installations as Seniors from 41 Mabelle work and play with artists of various disciplines to explore new forms of collecting and sharing oral histories.

Lobby Art: MABELLEartists loiter in lobbies, on the sidewalk and other public spaces at Mabelle, inviting Mabelle residents to share ideas, perspectives and concerns through art-making.

Lantern Garden: Every summer, MABELLEartists, youth, kids and families dig, paint, hammer, make music, play and invent, share food and stories as we repair and beautify the park at Mabelle.

A Park of Many Paths: This multi-year project brings together Mabelle residents with professional artists, architects and designers to re-imagine and completely transform the park at Mabelle.
