What is it? A flexible, integrated and itinerant program for learning, mentorship and exploration in Arts engaging with Community, launched in 2007, and including:
- Workshops covering essential principles, questions, history, and skills;
- Seminars and discussions with Jumblies artists and guest presenters;
- Artist internships, with the opportunity to test and develop project ideas;
- Incubation of new projects for artists who have apprenticed with Jumblies;
- Playgrounds to explore new ideas, forms and collaborations;
- Practicum opportunities for students in post-secondary programs;
- Print and digital archives and resources;
- Services tailored to specific needs and requests: ask and we might be able to invent it!
Arts4All Essentials:
An intensive course on the principals, practices and underpinnings of Jumblies Theatre and community arts - Everything (or many things!) you need to know to launch your own project.
Next session: December 1 to 6th, 2008, 10am - 6pm in Toronto, at the Centre for Women’s Studies in Education at OISE, Spaces limited.
Cost: $250 (some bursaries available to those taking part in full internship process).
Accommodation for out-of-town participants - we can help you find billets, but you must cover the costs.
