Participants
Volunteer Participants motivate and enable all that we do. We usually employ the terms “volunteer” and “participant” interchangeably, as our ventures and productions involve gifts of time and creativity from hundreds of people of varied ages, backgrounds and abilities. Many are seen as performers, and many others, equally important, take part as designers, makers, contributors of stories, preparers of food, community outreachers, child carers, cultural advisors, translators and much more. Each project also generates a core of particularly tenacious and keen volunteers who stay with us from project to project, sometimes for years, developing their own talents and interests, helping us in multifold ways, and supporting and inspiring other and new participants to join in. The following galleries give a glimpse of some (but by no means all) of these dedicated and valued people, as well as some of the important groups who have participated and volunteered in our projects:
