Our ventures always tend towards intergenerational mixing. Within the mix, we make a welcoming place for children – from toddlers to teenagers. Along the way, we offer in-school and after-school workshops and create specific performance groups and roles to suit young people. Some of them take part in just one workshop or one event. Others stay with Jumblies for several years. Some, such as our artistic director’s 3 children, and the children of other staff, artists and supporters, have grown up with Jumblies. Several of our board members were hooked into Jumblies through their children’s involvement. However long or short the connection, we hope that all children’s time with Jumblies will help them grow and flourish, have confidence in themselves and their aspirations and express themselves with joy and strength.
